Concretisation

Concretisation is the process of using AI to capture the 'secret sauce' of how a company actually works—the unwritten habits and expert intuition—and turning it into a permanent, searchable, and repeatable digital manual that everyone can use.

Concretisation leverages AI to bridge the gap between tacit institutional knowledge and scalable operational assets. It systematically externalizes organizational expertise into proprietary SOPs and codified workflows, effectively lowering the cost of knowledge transfer while creating a defensible competitive moat based on unique, codified process.

The use of AI to convert tacit organisational substrate into explicit, proprietary, scalable assets (knowledge management, SOPs, codified process), moving the Cowan-David-Foray codification cost boundary — but only for the half-explicit (Nonaka's externalization), not the embodied tacit. The tool is universal; the codified output, built on unique positioning, is the moat. Without the Forge it becomes corporate amnesia at scale. (C4AIL.)
