Excessive Queries

This is like a prank where someone calls a business thousands of times just to keep the lines busy. Even though each call is a normal conversation, the sheer volume makes it impossible for real customers to get through, and it costs the business money to keep answering.

A denial-of-service technique where an attacker floods an AI system with high volumes of standard, low-complexity requests. By bypassing rate limits or exploiting autoscaling, the attacker forces the system to consume excessive compute resources, leading to inflated operational costs and degraded performance for legitimate users.

A resource exhaustion attack vector characterized by the automated generation of high-frequency, low-complexity inference requests. By leveraging the system's autoscaling elasticity and pay-per-token billing models, the adversary induces sustained infrastructure over-provisioning and latency spikes, effectively weaponizing legitimate service architecture to achieve service degradation or financial exhaustion.
