The Six Numbers
The Six Numbers are a scorecard used to see if an AI is actually helping or just creating more work. Think of it like a mechanic checking a car: instead of just asking if it runs, they measure how often it breaks down, how much time you spend fixing its mistakes, and whether you can trust its directions without double-checking them.
The Six Numbers represent a governance framework for evaluating AI operational efficacy through six specific KPIs: first-time-right rate, acceptance-without-verification, rework rate, error-classification distribution, correction-encoding rate, and decision-survivability. It shifts the focus from subjective AI performance claims to objective, data-driven metrics that track whether AI integration reduces or increases human cognitive load.
Governance measured, not attested: First-time-right rate, Acceptance-without-verification rate (the Eloquence-Trap metric), Rework rate, Error-classification distribution, Correction-encoding rate (Spec Loop vs Chat Loop), and Decision-Survivability score (of the last 10 consequential decisions, how many are reconstructable).
